Our mission is to empower the Cambodian community and we believe education is the key to this empowerment, therefore we also act at the source of education by employing young Cambodian students in internships. As our head office is in Siem Reap, we have mainly students from the universities of the city.

They support project staff in relates activity with their field qualification. Example assist in some activity of conducting meeting, workshop, training or lead facilitation in some topic in the agenda

Foreign Volunteers

Human translation has been created by a volonteer. It is in this logic that Community Translation continues to promote an intercultural exchange, while making a positive impact on our projects and the local communities we serve.

CTO has been working with Australian volunteers, through the national program AYAD (Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development)  and french Volunteers through the national volunteering program « Service civique » in partnership with Eurasianet.

Through the participation of foreign volunteers, we can bring in new perspectives, ideas, and experiences that enrich our work and help us better address the needs of the Cambodian communities. These volunteers bring valuable skills and knowledge and they share their vision with our team.

At the same time, they gain a unique and valuable experience of Cambodia and its culture. They have the opportunity to learn about the country’s history, traditions, and customs, as well as its contemporary challenges and achievements.

We believe that this intercultural exchange is essential for promoting global understanding and cooperation, and for creating a fairer world.

Since 2017 we have been welcoming 18 french volonteers with the help of the french governement and the association eurasianet.
